Club Rules
Our club rules have been written to support our members, whilst maintaining the safety of our members and their canine companions. All members are required to comply with these rules whenever they use the club grounds.
- No dogs in season are allowed on the grounds.
- The Club accepts no responsibility for injury to members, their dogs, or property. All owners must accept full responsibility for their dog's health and activities, and class attendances are at the owner's risk.
- All dogs are to be on lead before getting out of the car, and remain on lead at all times, except in the higher classes, and then only by instruction from the instructor for those classes.
- All dogs training in obedience must be on a correctly fitted collar or harness, and suitable lead for the size of the dog.
- Handlers cannot train unless wearing appropriate footwear. Closed in sports shoes such as joggers with non slip soles are recommended.
- No person under the age of 10 years shall be in control of a dog.
- Only dog handlers, instructors and club officials are permitted to be on the training grounds while training is in progress. Children, other family members or visitors must remain off the training area, and young children must be supervised by a responsible adult.
- Do not allow your dog to approach another dog, unless you first have permission from the other dog's owner.
- Do not congregate too closely to other handlers. Keep a suitable space between you and other handlers and dogs in order to avoid a confrontation between dogs.
- Handlers with dogs are discouraged from congregating around the clubhouse once they have registered and been given their name tags.
- Offensive language must not be used on the training grounds.
- Mistreating of dogs anywhere on the grounds, on or off the training area, will not be tolerated.
- Smoking and/or alcohol is not permitted on the training grounds, and consideration of others is expected at all times.
- Owners must be responsible for the complete removal and disposal of faeces should defecation occur on the grounds.
- The grounds must be maintained litter free.
